Torsional active plates - ACTB Module

Hi,
While checking a larger code of mine, I constructed a simple benchmark test, a simple twisted plate (as seen in the figure below). I ran the ACTB module and then the dynamic relaxation loop. I was expecting the plate to try to straighten out, but instead the plate tried to twist even more, which to me seams like a incorrect behaviour.

Could someone please have a look at my files and try to find what I am doing wrong (or could it be that there is a minus sign somewhere in the ACTB code that shouldn’t be there).

Thanks for your help!

Best,
David

Hello David

Have you compared your project to the ACTB examples?
You find them directly in the TEDDY.

Hi @JFH,

Yes, I wrote my code with the example file as a template. I had a look again at the example files, but that didn’t really help me further.

Would you have a chance to have a look at my code and run it?

Best regards,
David

Hi @JFH, this is still an open question. Could you please have a look at my files and see if I am doing something wrong, or if there is potentially a small bug in the ACTB module.

here are the example files again:
TorsionAP-benchmark.sofistik (33.6 KB)
TorsionAP-benchmark_aqua.dat (3 Bytes)
TorsionAP-benchmark_msh.dat (2.3 KB)

Thanks,
David
