I am currently writing a bachelor thesis about a 125m 60 year old suspension bridge in Norway. The superstructure is a combination of both a concrete slab and steel beams, cables, hangers etc. The task is to make a 3D model of it and run analysis with Sofisitik (and Python), and then compare the data to real life, frequency measurements etc.
I have downloaded the Sofistik plugin for Revit 2024, and I am following the online course. So I just wonder if Sofistik for Revit will give me the necessary tools for this task and if you perhaps have any other tips. Will it be possible to import to Teddy/Sofistik, and if so, how?
I also has the same question, seems like Sofistik plugin for Revit only works to create bridge model, what I want to find is that are there any posibility that we can transfer data and model from Revit to Sofistik the same ways as Sofisplus?
Hi,
at the moment there is no explicit connection between Revit SBIM and SSD/Teddy.
But want you can do is to export the project from Revit and creating a json file (SOFiSTiK AnalysisLink): https://docs.sofistik.com/2025/en/bridge_modeler/cmdref/import/export_model.html#sofistik-analysis-link-json
Then you can import the json file into SOFiPLUS. In SOFiPLUS type in sbm and the command SOF_SBM_IMPORT_INFRASTRUCTURE_MODEL will show up automatically (there is no button only the command).
From there on you can adjust your project in sofilus and generate a model for ssd projects.
Here is a video to this topic, unfortunately only in german but you will get a first impression how it works.
