I use SOFISTIK 2018 and when I run this teddy model (I think it is old version 2016), this error appears, and I want to solve it to continue the model run.

  • Originally gravitational loads are directed in the negative y-direction
  • Negative y-direction not possible due to update
  • Changed to positive Y-direction
  • Structure is now upside down with respect to gravity

You need to flip the structure.
Put a minus sign in front of all the y coordinates of the nodes.
You’ll also have to do this with applied loads (if they’re applied by coordinates)
Also you probably need to change the direction of loads in the y-direction
