Relaxation of spring

Hi

I have defined the below nonlinear properties for springs in AQUA. Materiel type HYPE is selected, as it important that the nonlinear work law applies for both loading and undloading.

The analysis is carried out in TALPA, where relaxation of the spring material is introduced in a construction stage. However, for material type HYPE, relaxation of springs seems not possible. Is this correct? Ralaxation is possible if material type PLAS is applied, but this material type is not adequate due to the unloading behaviour.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hello

As stated within the AUQA manual, HYPE defines a nonlinear-elastic material law. A plastic deformation is not taken into account. In order to understand the different material laws please have a look at the AQUA manual and the corresponding TEDDY examples.
