Question on Initial Deformation in Dynamic Analysis (Moving Load with ASE)

Hi everyone,

I’ve carried out a dynamic analysis similar to the one shown in the video “Human Induced Vibrations” (Understanding and Simulating Human-Induced Vibrations on Footbridges in SOFiSTiK FEA - SOFiSTiK FOR YOU), using Example 2 – Moving Load with ASE.

Now, I would like to run the dynamic analysis without initial deformation . Does anyone know how to remove or prevent the initial deformation (plf) in the Teddy code?

I’ve already tried a few different approaches, but so far I haven’t achieved the expected results. Below is my latest attempt – unfortunately, it still doesn’t behave as I’d like.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to improve this or where the problem might lie?
