I am currently trying to perform moment redistribution using AQB.
However, I always obtain the same results, regardless of whether SMOO is set to 0 or 2.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this or whether there is an additional setting that needs to be considered?
you have to use SLSC … TYPM (main bending) instead of TYPT.
I also recommend to create combinations in aqb with a result loadcase number LCST. Then you can check the resulting bending moment of these loadcases in WinGraf and compare them, e.g.:
+PROG AQB URS:30.5
HEAD
echo full extr
CTRL SMOO 0
lc 900
REIN MOD SECT RMOD SING LCR 10
comb solo lc1 900 lcst 1000
DESI STAT ULTI
END
+PROG AQB urs:30.6
HEAD
echo full extr
CTRL SMOO 2
lc 900
REIN MOD SECT RMOD SING LCR 20
comb solo lc1 900 lcst 2000
DESI STAT ULTI
I have another question. I attempted to further reduce the bending moment by applying a moment redistribution using DELR. The redistribution factor depends on the ratio x/d, which in this case is 0.117.
the input DESI … DELR does not affect the design forces, but it will limit the height of the compression zone to x = (δ - 0,64)/0,8 * d. See explanation in the aqb-manual:
