Modification of the steel stress-strain curve

Hello all!

Could you please tell me one thing. Does Sofistik modify the steel stress-strain curve or I have to do it by myself? I mean the red part of diagram on the picture below.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Sofistik models the complete stress-strain curve according to the selected design code.
E.g. S355 steel:

You can use a bespoke stress/strain curve with the command SSLA.
Check the report output from AQUA to see what you have.

Of course a detailed stress-strain curve is only useful if you use it (e.g. non-linear calculation)

Thank you so much for responding!

Actually I meant tensioned concrete between cracks. And my question is about modifying the reinforcement diagram. Do I need to modify the diagram by myself using SSLA? Or Sofistik does it if I use CTRL CONC V3 and V4?

Best regards,
Helen

Ctrl conc should be enough.

Great! Thank you so much

But it’s for QUAD only.

It is not clear:

Why all default service concrete ss curves have no tension part?

Why FFCT of NSTR does not work with default KSV SL for concrete?

Attempt add tension via Tensile Stresses in Stress Strain Curves gives strange results on ultimate design curve, Modification SSLA gives desire results for ASE and AQB calculations, for example:

SSLA EPS SERV SIG 1.300000[-] TYPE lim

! tension part below for B25
SSLA EPS 0.150000 SIG 1.55000 TYPE ‘POL’
SSLA EPS 0.052000 SIG 1.550000 TYPE ‘POL’
!
SSLA EPS 0 SIG 0 TYPE ‘POL’
SSLA EPS -0.370000 SIG -11.10000 TYPE ‘POL’
SSLA EPS -2 SIG -18.50000 TYPE ‘POL’
SSLA EPS -3.500000 SIG -18.50000 TYPE ‘POL’

Best regards.
