Different support conditions, one model

Hi

I was wondering if it would be possible to calculate one geometry with different support conditions - ie. to have springs defined for one ASE and Fixed support for another ASE.

Why this would be interesting? In my transient analysis (heat of hydration) the support conditions change in time and I would use the result from ASE 1 (with springs) as a PLC for ASE 2 (with fixed support). I can turn off the springs with GRP, but I cannot turn off the nodal support conditions…

Changing the geometry (deleting the springs and adding fixed support) midway wipes out the previous results.

Any ideas how to overcome this issue?

Thank you very much

Try increasing spring stiffness to a very large value in the 2nd stage

So simple! Excellent idea, thank you
