DECREATOR modeling - issue with DSEL options (BEAM vs SEC)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently modeling a single-span composite bridge using thin-walled cross-sections for the steel girder and a slab. I’ve based my setup on the example decreator_08_composite with variable sections.

However, I’ve run into a problem with DECREATOR module:

Here’s the issue:

  1. When I choose DSEL BEAM, the internal forces from the self-weight check seem incorrect, but I can map the traffic loads from the ELLA module successfully.
  2. But for DSEL SEC, I get correct results for the self-weight, but I’m unable to map the traffic loads from ELLA.

I clearly have a problem with the point at which the internal forces are being read when using the BEAM option, but I can’t figure out where I’m going wrong.

The dataset is not working. SOFiMSHC says:

+++++ error no. 2190 in program STREAM_GET_LINE ; input line: 162
Structural point (SPT) 311 does not exist

The workflow with DSEL BEAM and ELLA only works if the beams carry the entire load transfer in the longitudinal direction. If surface elements are present, their stiffness in the longitudinal direction must therefore be deactivated using:
GRP2 [group number of quads] QUEA 0.001 QEMX 0.001.

Hello JE170969,

I checked the file in version 2025 and this error didn’t occur.

I have already deactivated quad’s stiffness in CSM module:

GRP NO 1 ICS1 30 T0 7 ICSD 30 PHIF=1.0 QUEA 0.01 QEMX 0.01
