Hello,
I am a student currently working on my master’s thesis, in which I am using SOFiSTiK and Teddy. In my project, I generated BRIC elements within a loop that arranges these elements in a circular pattern. Surrounding this structure, I have thin QUAD elements that serve as a casing or “sheet” for the BRIC elements. For all these elements, I applied subdivision N.
My current challenge is in connecting these elements through their height using spring elements. Specifically, I need to reference the node numbers from the subdivision in order to create the spring elements. Is there a more automated way to connect all nodes, including those generated from the subdivision, for both types of elements?
For reference, I am creating BRIC elements similarly to the method shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTa5v_XnuQw
However, my model also includes an external casing made of QUAD elements (Mantel).
I greatly appreciate any guidance you can offer
Kind regards
