Change moment of inertia/stiffness in a plate, but only locally

Hello,
I have a plate that i want to change the stiffness but only in a small defined area of the plate.

Would it be possible using SAR, or how would you go about it?

Hi,

You can define desired area as another group using attributte area in teddy (or in sofiplus) like:
sar prop grp X
sarb out; .—your lines describing your atrribute area—

and then in ASE
just type:
grp all
grp X facs Y

where Y is factor by which you manipulate group X stiffness
