I am trying to define a steel built-up section using AQUA. Why do I get the following warnings?

the detemination of the locations of clamped edge for the c/t check also depends on the several thicknesses of the plates and the weld. Please note AQUA manual chapter 3.41
"If the user does not specify distances explicitly, it will be tried to guess the support condition
and to combine consecutive plates to a single field if the following conditions hold:
they are connected and do not have a bend
do not deviate of value ’thickness * shear stiffness’ more than a factor of 1.25 (may be
changed with CTRL FIXL). This also applies to the thickness of the shear connections
(WELD). "
In your example the thickness of the welds is too small → 20 mm, flange plate with 40 mm. You can define a thicker weld or manual input of the locations of clamped edge in record PLAT values FIXB and FIXE.
