Using SOFiPlus-X to create 3D elements

Hi,

I am new to SOFiSTIK and I desire to create a 3D model of a simple beam using 3D elements such as brics. Is it possible to do this by only using SOFiPLUS-X and avoid using scripting? If not, what are other ways of achieving this? I am aware of the possibility of using the text editor, Teddy. However, I want to explore my options that do not require scripting.

As a complementary question; how do we control/adjust the properties related to the elements such as full integration, shape, etc.?

Thank you.

Dear Frederik,

I am sorry but modelling 3d elemets (BRICS) is NOT possible inside SOFiPLUS.
You need to work with the numerical input TEDDY. You will find some examples inside the TEDDY. Goto the start window in version 2022 and click on examples. Now navigate to sofimshc>english>volumen-modeling an check the examples.

Enjoy working with SOFiSTiK Software.

Can we use Rhino/Grasshopper to create BRICs?

@netsonic_Sofistik solids are not directly supported by the SOFiSTiK Rhino interface.
As Martin said, you have to use a TEDDY input.
