Are informations about types of finite elements used by Sofistik available?
I have seen some questions about it here on the forum, but unfortunately they remain without answers.
From some of the tests we can say that quad elements are Timoshenko-Reissner type, c0 class with bilinear shape functions, strain field enrichment and elimination of locking effect.
However my knowledge about FEM is insufficient to identify specific type of element that is being used. Can we get some enlightenment on that topic?
