I’m trying to perform a linear time history analysis on a simple model and as loading I would like to define the motion over time of the supports.
I’m using ASE as I have no access to DYNA, so I’m not sure if this is possible.
Essentially I’m wondering if there is an input similar to ACCE in ase but instead of acceleration I would like to define the actual movement in time of the supports.
Define a spring of high stiffness (1E20) at node you want to load with support displacement then define load function with high force causing spring dispacement equal to your disp*1E20.
I don’t know if my study is close to yours, but I try to carry out a dynamic analysis, I have to model a charge whose intensity varies over time. I understood that I had to use a FUNC (function). But I don’t know how to put it into practice.
