Spring maximum load

Hello

I have defined a spring with a worklaw as below, but when checking my results, i am seeing compression and tension beyond the worklaw.
Is it possible to let the spring fail/redistribute when reaching maximum capacity?
I tried to reproduce this by letting the maximum capacity happen at very big deformation, but it does not work as intended.

SMAT 52 LTYP STD MTYP PLAS ALPH 0
$ Reaction type ---------
$ Curve (P-level)
SFLA U 400[mm] F 41[kN] type p
SFLA U 33.9[mm] F 40.7[kN] type p
SFLA U 4.400000[mm] F 40.7[kN] type p
SFLA U 0[mm] F 0[kN] type p
SFLA U -4.400000[mm] F -100[kN] type p
SFLA U -33.90000[mm] F -167[kN] type p
SFLA U -1000[mm] F -168[kN] type p

the solution was running the model nonlinear.

If ASE is linear (i thought it switched as long as you have defined a nonlinear material), it does not care about bilinear worklaws, and will convert them to linear (afaik)
