SBIM Superstructure Modeling: One Family or Multiple?

Hi all,

Finally, I’m test trialing SBIM right now and i’m at the step of applying a superstructure to my alignment

Wanted to know what is the best approach moving forward for modelling :

Create a single superstructure family for my bridge type (Does deck, girder, guardrails etc) ?

Or dividing into seperate families like :
Deck
Girder
Guardrails
etc (All linear modeling objects)

TIA !

Looking forward on using SBIM

After digging and doing the tutorials I do understand more

SBIM uses different functions to model those elements

It’s all in the ribbon !

Didn’t see it at first

P.S. I hope this forum has engaged users to help new users on SBIM or else it’s gona be a hard learning curve

Hi,

If you start new with the SBIM I recommend to watch our video tutorial “Getting Started”. All workflows will be introduced and explained in a short time.
