Rhino/Grasshopper Bug with the Teddy Button

Hello!

I recently upgraded to Sofistik 2025 from 2024 this week and noticed that I now have a bug when using Rhino/Grasshopper. I used to generate the Teddy file and open it directly by clicking the Teddy icon in the “SOFiSTiK Project” component, but now this component is usually grayed out. When it is there and I click it, then my Grasshopper canvas freezes and I need to restart Rhino.

In order to get around this, I have to click “Calculate” and then on the Teddy button. This still only opens the .dat file and not the _model.dat file which is basically useless to me. Why does Sofistik even generate two .dat files to begin with? What’s the advantage of creating one Teddy file that just references the other. Now I have to go into the .SOFiSTiK folder manually in order to open the .dat file that I want. I would like to open this file directly from GH because I often do a lot of checking and debugging in the Teddy IDE since it’s much more comfortable than in Grasshopper.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Best,

Grant
