Results from an objective function

Hi,

How can I see the results from an objective function I defined in MAXIMA

For example

SUPP COMB 1 EXTR MAX ETYP QUAD TYPE '1/2*SQR((SXT-SYT)**2+4*SXYT**2)'

How can I see the results of this function? In WINGRAF I can only see the components, SXT, SYT and SXYT but not the result of the function.

You can’t unless you extract them in excel f.e. and do the math yourself.
However maximum is obtainted to fulfill your objectivr function.

Hello,

MAXIMA makes the superposition for this objective function as follows:

  • internal calculation of the stress values according to the function for the initial load cases using the internal forces and moments
  • then superposition using the defined combination rule with the stress values
  • saving and possible printout of the results as internal forces and moments which lead to the most unfavourable case for the objective function
    SOFiSTiK saves the internal forces and moments in the CDB.

Important: you have to define an own result load case number at record SUPP … LC for the results of the objective function.
Then the results – internal forces and moments – should be available in GRAPHIC (WinGRAF).
