Restraining all the nodes with an area element to a single node

Hello,
I was trying to make a portion of the area very rigid so as to transfer the axial force to the pylon supports. To do this, I created an attribute area of size equal to 3 ft*3 ft and tried to link all the nodes within this area after meshing to a single node, but I couldn’t do so. Rather, I used the constraint SLN to a point command. Is there a way to make a certain portion very rigid?

I tried bridge bearings with high stiffness in the long direction, but since it was connected to just a single node, the required rigidity was not achieved.

In my applications it was always sufficient to use rigid constraints on the outside SLNs. Ususally the effects within the area are not so important. But if they are, you may add more SLNs (with rigid constraints) within this area.

As far as I know it is a little bit tricky to connect really all nodes of an area to a certain node. You may use SOFIMSHA for this task.
