Manual Reinforcement Introduction- Stiffness Increase

Hello all!

I know that I can define reinfrocement quantity for top and bottom layers for slab reinforcement analysis. I would like to know if there is a way to increase reinforcement for only specific areas of the slab so that I can reduce the displacement at these specific spots and let the analysis consider this updated reinforcement in the displacement results ?

I would be glad if anyone can give information about this. Maybe there is already an example or reference in Teddy examples but I did not see it..

Thanks !

Well, for reinforcement differentation I will just create manually, different quad elements.

From what you’ve wrote I assume you are performing linear analysis - you can’t build section stifness in linear analysis considering reinforcement.
You have to perform non linear analysis - I will start with: Non-Linear Cracked Analysis (detailed) - SOFiSTiK Tutorials 2024
There are also examples in Teddy in Ase - nonl_beam, nonl_quad, but you have to ask yourself what is the purpose of your analysis and are all of your assumptions regarding concrete work correct.
