It is possible to define line links and constraints in local directions. However, it seems that it is not possible to view line links’ and constrains’ results in local directions. Is that the case or am I missing something?

It is possible. A local direction of constraint is equal to local direction of master node.
@asiloisad could you please elaborate? How can you display line link and line constraint results in local directions in program WING? I only find commands to display them in global directions:
