I have worked through everything according to the Composite Bridge tutorial so far, but now one question remains unanswered: how do I model the lateral bracings in Sofiplus?
Well you need to define cross beams or cross truss elements. Please note the main beam elements contain only one nodal sequence. If you like to model bracings as shown above you need to create a new node at the bottom of your beam and connect this node to the top node with a coupling. Then you have nodes at top an bottom of each beam and you can create these bracings.
Alternatively you simple conntect the beam element with a cross beam, which is defined with an eccentricity.
