I am experiencing a convergence problem in a nonlinear analysis that is load-controlled. I suspect that this is a snap-through issue.
I would like to apply the load incrementally, starting from 0% of the total load and increasing it step by step using a predefined load increment until reaching 100%, in order to avoid the snap-through region in the nonlinear load–displacement curve.
Does CADINP offer any predefined commands, specifically in the ASE module, that can be used together with the load cases definition to implement/control such load incrementing?
