How to get rid of local buckling modes in SOFISTIK

Dear Sofistik community,

I have a SOFISTIK model of a truss bridge that contains a very large amount of bars. I would like to perform a buckling analysis in order to study the global buckling of the bridge. The problem is that when I execute the SOFISTIK module “Buckling Eingenvalues”, I get exclusively local buckling modes even if I increase the number of modes to calculate. In other words, bars buckle individually whereas I would rather like to obtain the global buckling of the bridge.
Is there a way I can get rid of the local buckling modes and only get the first global buckling of the structure ?

Furthermore, in my truss bridge, I have a lot of bracing bars modelled with structural lines in SOFIPLUS. Is there a way in SOFIPLUS to make these structural lines work only in traction and not in compression ?
If yes, is it compatible with the “Buckling Eingenvalues” and “Earthquake” modules in the sense that the program doesn’t crash ?

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Oprah.
