Concrete taking tensile stresses

Hi,

I’m working with CSM module and have modelled a reinforced concrete section. Now I have analyzed some stresses in concrete and reinforcements and noticed that the program gives also tensile stresses for concrete even that in material properties it should not be possible. Do you have any idea, how this problem could be avoided?

It depends on your calculation.
If you only perform linear calculations with ASE, you only get a linear stress distribution
If you postprocess your results with AQB and calculate the stress in state II or III you’ll get those results.

You should probably check out an AQB example for concrete.
