I have modeled a beam on two simple supports using both scia engineer and sofistik (same assumptions and input data), i’ve also calculated the eigenfrequencies then i have calculated the intern effort (especially My) du to earthquake in Z direction (gravity). Nevertheless, the results generated in both softwares have 20% of difference while i have applied the same response spectra and i checked all the input data of the 2 softwares : they are genuinely the same. I have also done a manual calculus to verify the results of SCIA and SOFiSTiK. But the results of SCIA was approximately more similar. I really don’t know what is the problem if you have suggestions i am all ears. Thank you.
