Beam with variable section after generated from revit analytical model

Hello,

I have transformed an analytical model of Revit to a Sofistik model, but I would like to modify in Teddy a group of beam elements having a variable section. From what I have read, the analytical members of Revit by default use a single section type, so I would like to modify their section, ideally into teddy, and make an interpolation in Aqua to generate the intermediate sections. Is that possible?

In case it matters, I should mention that these beams will be prestressed.

Yes, this should be possible.

Thank you. By which module could I edit the section of a group of beams after generating the mesh from Revit? Should I use Sofimshc with “Syst Type Rest”, or Sofimsha?

After that, can I draw tendons into the beam with the Tendon module or Sofiplus?

I would do this with syst rest in sofimshc by changing the section in the considered SLN and subsequently an Aqua run interpolating the cross sections. You can draw the tendons in both, either graphically in Sofiplus or by code in module tendon. I would do it in Sofiplus.

You can also import the system, generated in Revit, in Sofiplus and interpolate in Sofiplus the sections graphically

And how could I call this SLN to change its Cross section? If I call the specific SLN No in a new Sofimshc, I get an error that this structural line number already exists.

Sometimes there are such strang things like manuals:
