I am doing a seismic analysis on a mechanical equipment made from stainless steel (1.4301). I modelled the structure in SOFiPLUS. All parts in that equipment are connected through nut and bolts. I stuck on assigning beam hinges. Does anyone explain me the concept how to choose right beam hinges for connections. What is the meaning of N, VY, VZ, MT, MY, MZ and MB.

You need to define implicit beam hinges before. Please use the SSD Task Work Laws
Then you create a new Implicit Hinge
After that you are able to select the worklaws in SOFiPLUS
