In Revit Sofistik Analysis, when I use the “Beam Design” function, I receive the following message: “A design of beams is not supported for the specified design code. The calculation will be processed using design code EN 1992-1-1:2004”.
The design code I have specified is UNI DM-2018.
Is there any way to work around this limitation? I am new to the software and would like to obtain, for example, shear reinforcement that complies with specific code provisions.
In your case, the design of the beams will be performed to the Eurocode without National Annex. If you wish, you can also use the Export to Excel feature to obtain an Excel sheet with the internal forces in all the beams and perform the design there.
I was wondering whether, by continuing to work in SSD, it would be possible to use UNI DM 2018 for the automatic beam design, or whether, with Teddy, it would be possible to customise the reinforcement criteria so that they comply with the code.l
I think the easiest and fastest way for you would be to contact our local Italian partner: SOFiSTiK Italia italia@sofistik.com. They can help best when it comes to UNI DM.
