Hello everybody. Is there a way to design wooden pier in Sofistik? With AQB we can design timber cross sections, but is there a way to obtain stability of member (like wooden pier) where we have to account buckling and so one?
Best regards

Do you know example “aqb1_3_timber_design.dat”? You find it in Teddy under “File - Examples” and then further on under “aqb - english”.
To consider stabilty I recommend to calculate with Second or Third Order Theory, the same as for steel.
Example “aqb1_3_timber_design.dat” is all about cross section design. Im interesed in element design with stability check. Could you tell me in which Teddy file I can check the stability of the steel elements you are referring to?
