In Bridge enginnering, the top of the beam is the axis in most cases.
When a tendon has variable vertical distacne to the axis while has constant distance to the bottom of the beam, is there any way to define the tendon with ease?
Have a look at CSP in the command PTUV (inside module tendon).
“Reference to a cross-section point earlier created (e.g. in AQUA). When a CSP is specified, the origin of the local coordinate system shifts from the reference axis to the point CSP – consequently U and V are specified with respect to CSP”
Therefore, in order to get the tendon layout indicated in your sketch you could:
- Create a point in the soffit of the cross section in AQUA module
- Define the geometry of the tendon using such point as a reference with command CSP. That way the “V” value will always be constant.
